
Auld Riichi Mahjong Club and Renchan Glasgow Riichi Mahjong are proud to be organising a riichi mahjong tournament hosted in Edinburgh, Scotland!
Rakkii Nomi Spring 2026 is a one day, 4 hanchan tournament run under a modified WRC 2025 ruleset.
We are aiming to provide a semi-competitive, but approachable, event to let the people of Scotland get a taste of tournament mahjong.
Everyone is welcome! It’ll be a learning experience for a lot of us (including the organisers,) our only ask is that you are familiar with the game of riichi mahjong.

Venue info
Very spacious, good sound proofing between rooms.
Good public transport links.
Reasonably priced cafe bar serving tea, coffee, biscuits, snacks, soft drinks and alcoholic drinks will be staffed from 10am til 6pm on the day.
Unfortunately there are no closeby shops, closest is a 20 minute walk away.
Great accessibility – ramp from the street into the car park, double automatic doors, disability friendly facilities, four disabled parking spaces.
Travel info
Bus: nearby bus stops serving routes 12, 26, 31, X18, X19, X38, X39, 100 Airlink, Scottish Citylink 900 and Scottish Citylink 909
Tram: Balgreen tram stop is about a 15 minute walk from the venue
Train: Departing at either Haymarket or Waverley then connecting via bus is your best bet
Car: Venue has 10 parking spaces total, 4 of which are disability spaces. Pinkhill is free to park on and Corstorphine Road is free as long as you don’t park in the bus stops
